Terms & Conditions

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE FROM TIME TO TIME WITH OUR SOLE DISCRETION. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU OF ANY AMENDMENTS TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BY POST OR UPDATING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON OUR WEBSITE.

1. ABOUT THIS CONTRACT
This being the Terms and Conditions between the Client [You], the Company [Simply Mums Ltd] and the Service provided [Service Agreement]. Our Terms and Conditions represent a contract. This contract is made between Simply Mums Ltd and the Client. You agree that any use of the services provided by Simply Mums Ltd shall constitute your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions. Simply Mums Ltd agrees to perform the work specified by the Client.

2. THE SERVICE
All our direct employees are fully vetted and insured. We interview and obtain references for every employee representing Simply Mums Ltd. The Company may provide contractors or sub-contractors to carry out services. In such cases, our contractors will carry their own insurance. All staff must provide us with a copy of their passport or driving license as well as a proof of address. A signed Services Agreement must be returned to the Company prior to the commencement of any service. The Client is responsible for providing access to the property at the scheduled time.

3. RESTRICTIVE COVENANT
The Client is restricted from hiring, employing or offering work for any home-related service to any present or previous employees of Simply Mums Ltd for a 12 month period, otherwise legal action will be taken against both parties.

4. LIABILITY
Simply Mums Ltd cannot be held responsible for the following:
Any domestic cleaning or ironing jobs not complete due to the lack of suitable equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaner, mop, sponge, cleaning liquids, iron etc.). Any existing damage to Clients property in the form of old stains/burns/spillages etc. which cannot be cleaned or removed completely by an employee using the Client’s cleaning equipment and materials. Any existing damage to Clients clothes. Accidental damages due to faulty equipment provided by the Client. Simply Mums Ltd will endeavour to rectify any problems arising as a result of work carried out. If the Client is unsatisfied with the work carried out then a Simply Mums employee or representative will come back to re-do any outstanding work. All fragile and highly breakable items must be secured or removed. Items excluded from liability are: cash, items of sentimental value, art and antiques.

The Company does not accept liability for damage due to ironing of items without care instructions attached. The Company shall not be responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. Special instructions must be given to an employee for cleaning surfaces such as marble, granite, wood flooring or garments requiring special ironing instructions etc. prior to any cleaning or ironing taking place. The Client agrees to inspect the work immediately after its completion and to draw the employees’ attention to any outstanding issues ASAP.

5. CHILDCARE
The Client is responsible for informing their child carer and the Company of any medical, dietary or additional needs of the child(ren) being looked after prior to any child care taking place. This must be done in writing within 7 days of the commencement of any childcare service. It is the Clients responsibility to provide a fully stocked first aid box at all times. If the use of the family car has been agreed in writing to the Company, it is the Clients responsibility to ensure the child carer has been added to their car insurance policy.

6. COMPLAINTS
The Client is advised to check the satisfaction of any work carried out immediately after completion.
Complaints must be notified as soon as possible to the employee directly or the Company. All complaints must be received by email: info@simplymums.co.uk in writing or telephone 0203 538 0300 within 12 hours of service being carried out.

7. MAINTENANCE
The Client is responsible for providing cleaning and ironing materials and equipment unless otherwise agreed in advance. All cleaning and ironing equipment should be safe and in full working order.

8. SERVICE QUOTE
Simply Mums Ltd reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the client’s original requirements change. We use national average room sizes and average washing loads when calculating the price over the telephone or email. The service quote is valid for a period of 30 days.

9. CANCELLATION
In the unlikely event of our cancellation, Simply Mums Ltd will endeavour to find a replacement employee as soon as possible. Simply Mums Ltd will make every effort to provide a temporary assistant in the event of sickness or holiday. The Client may re-schedule a service at any time by giving at least 48 hours’ notice, otherwise the full amount of the service will be charged. In the event the Client wishes to cancel any service provided, he or she must give at least 2 full weeks’ notice on regular services.

10. PAYMENT
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Company, payment by bank transfer is to be made on completion of the work each week. We require a credit or debit card number in order to hold your booking and/or a 50% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit. In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. The Client must pay Simply Mums Ltd any amounts that is owed under this agreement. The Company has the right to cancel the service with immediate effect due to any non-payment or outstanding invoices. All accounts beyond our 30 day credit terms will be passed to Debt Collection agency and subject to a £40.00 administrative fee. We reserve the right to cancel any reservations made where no credit or debit card is used to guarantee.

11. CUSTOMER CARE
We would like to keep in regular contact with our Client in order to ensure that you get the best possible service from Simply Mums Ltd. We may contact you again using the contact details you have provided to us.

The Company endeavours to provide the same employee where appropriate or requested. However this may not always be possible due to holidays, absences, varying cleaning frequencies & other commitments.

12. KEYS
The Client must inform Simply Mums of any exchange of keys between the Client and the cleaner as soon as possible. This arrangement is between you and the cleaner. Simply Mums does acts as the keeper of keys.

13. INSURANCE
We are fully insured for public liability and employer’s liability.
All our employees are experienced and endeavour to treat your home and possessions with the greatest care.
The Client must inform us of any items or garments that are irreplaceable, so that we can make special arrangements for care.

14. AFTER CANCELLATION OF ANY SERVICE
By entering into this agreement with Simply Mums Ltd, the Client agrees that after termination of the service the Client will not hire, employ or offer any home-related work or childcare to a present or past employee, contractor or sub-contractor of Simply Mums Ltd for the period of 12 months. If seen to do so, legal action will be taken against both parties.
