Found a Nanny yourself?
You’ve found the most perfect Nanny, who is practical and ideal in every way. However, you are unsure of what to look out for on the documents the nanny has presented to you. There are a few things you may want to get in place before you make an offer of employment. You will understandably want to be completely satisfied with whoever is entering into your home and taking care of your children.
We offer an enhanced DBS and referencing service.
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check formally CRB, is a criminal record check that is carried out to obtain any past criminal record activity. We regularly carry these checks out on our candidates and we can do this for your candidates too.
We will require you to provide us with some further information regarding your child carer and some information regarding yourself. We will then make direct contact with your child carer to start the process. Once the application has started, we will keep you updated on its progress. Due to data protection, we will not be able to send you the disclosure directly. Your child carer will receive the disclosure to their home which you can then ask to see before finalising your employment contract with them.
It is always good practice to hear from past employers of anyone you are looking to bring into your home. This will give you an insight into their employment history and the way they work.
We will obtain 2 references on your behalf for your potential nanny or child carer.
We will contact each reference individually by telephone and obtain a written standard template which we will then send to you within 10 working days.
